With the rest of the XS a nice new black we decided to paint the wheels to match. It was a fun taping exercise but it came out nice.

1 Comment  Well we got the XS engine in. These motors fit tight in the frame. So, the easiest way to get them back in is to lay the motor on its side & put the frame over the motor.  These pics give you an idea of what it looks like sitting upright. Keep checking back here for updates. 
 We have been painting the little XS parts to try to get ready for assembly. The upper tree is all painted up.  Finished up painting the lower tree & the side mount plate that we made. Keep checking back here for updates as this project comes together. 
 Finally finished up the painting of the frame. Next up we will be able to install the engine.  It's a different looking frame but that is what we were going for. Should be a looker when we are done. Keep checking back here for updates.  Got this one back into the shop this weekend. Added some Bub Exhaust & a Big Air Kit. Really cleans up the look of the Warrior with the factory coffin off of the side & some shorty pipes on it  Eventually we will get this back in the shop to make a side cover to hide the wiring that was under the air box. Keep check back in here for updates on all our projects.  Well the engine on our XS project is painted. Still have to polish the tappets & right side engine covers. Also, need to adjust the valves but we will wait until the engine is back in the frame before we tackle any of that.  Even though there is still a lot of work to do before this thing is ready to run these pics give you an idea of what it will look like. Lets you imagine what it will look like with all the shiny parts back on it.  Things are starting to come together on this project. So, keep checking back here for updates. We hope to be posting often from here on out.  Finally finished cleaning up the motor. It took some elbow grease to get into all those fins but now its done. We spent some time taping off the parts that we did not want to get paint on. Should help dress up this temporary runner.  Tomorrow we will throw some paint on it. As soon as we get the frame all painted we can start getting it back to a roller. Progress should be coming a little quicker.
