It has been awhile since we posted progress on this project but near its completion we ran into some issues.  Turns out that the pinion shaft was bent which upon restart spun a bearing & smoked the oil pump.  OC decided to have Harley do a complete rebuild so we pulled the engine again.  Here it is back at the local Harley Dealer.  Ready to be put back in.

Here it is all done.  Everything is working & ready to ride!
We nicked-named this the "Black & White" Project simply because we were refreshing an old Police Bike.

This project is coming to a close.  The owner decided to keep the history of the bike and keep it the original color.  We are finishing up the final assembly & got the multi-colored LED accent lights installed.  It gives off quite a bit of light.  Turned out great.
Keep checking back for updates.

Well we have added a few more parts to the bike.  It is coming together.  Everyday it gets closer to being finished.  We also ordered the LED accent light kit from Joe Florida.  We have used his kits in the past.  You cant beat the price & the quality is second to none.
Keep checking back for more updates.  We will post pics of our progress.

We have all the major oxidation cleaned off of the cast aluminum engine.  To finish off the motor we decided to play with the contrasts of polished aluminum & black on the engine and tranny.  Finished the polishing of the rocker boxes & cam cover.  Got the push rod tubes painted & back on.  We also are planning to paint the center of the cam cover black as well.
We also installed the lower tree & steering stem.
We are continuing to make progress daily so keep checking back for updates.

Got the frame back.  The powder coat was done by Steadfast Powder Coat, here in Tucson, AZ.  We had it done in a smooth gloss black.  It looks great!  Now we can start getting the bike back together.

The bike is now stripped down a frame & a bunch of parts.  Just need to spray the frame down with degreaser & get it over to the paint.  It will be a new bike by the time we get all the tins back from paint.  Cant wait!

Well it will be a ground up restoration project.  It will be striped to the frame and completely repainted.  Add in some polished and new parts and it will be one nice looking bike.
We have torn it down a little further.  The wiring harness is off.  The battery and box is out.  All the tins and headlight are off. Its a start but there is a long way to go to get it ready for paint.

Newest project at the shop & in early stages of dis-assembly.  Customer is not sure what direction he would like to take the bike yet.  For sure the frame rust will be taken care of an the tins will get paint.  Check back for updates.
