It has been a long fun road & now after a little over 87 hours of work the Sporty is  DONE!

We are coming into the home stretch on this one, almost done.  Fabricated a plate for the electrical components & hi/lo switch under the seat to hide it away.

Oil bag, sissy bar & fender off the 70's chopper as well as the battery are installed.

Got the pea pad, taillight, handle bars with grips, speedo, license mount & rear wheel all on.  Still have to get the headlight mount made, install the seat, chain & gas tank, plus install the front brake line & headlight.Not much left.  We'll keep you posted.Keep checking back for updates.

All the welding is complete.  All necessary mounts are on and we got to paint the hardtail.  Next up: wiring & final assembly.
This project is almost done.  Look for the final update soon.

Installed the chain drive with the new rear wheel.  We have also fitted the sissy bar and rear fender.  Soon we will be ready to strip it down for paint & finish work.

We have got the hardtail on & are now in the process of fitting parts before we start our finish work.  We have the battery box, oil bag & seat on for fitment.  You can at least see the stance of the bike.

We got the tail all welded on and front seat mount.  Put on the original wheel for mock up.  Next up: mounting the rear fender & getting the chain drive on.

We have started the welding phase of this project.  We have the hardtail welded to the the top of the frame and bolted to the lower tranny mount.

The battery box is in place & started to be welded together.  Gussets are also welded to the bottom of the frame for strength.

We've got the hardtail section all mocked up and ready for weld.  It should be back on the ground next week.  Can't wait!

We have made more progress, by that we mean that we have removed more from the bike.  We have cut off the rear of the frame to accommodate the new hardtail.
