Finally got back to work on the BMW project. The new axle, swing arm pins & shocks mounted. Need to get front wheel spacer & this thing will be a true roller.
Keep checking back here for updates on this & other projects.
Finally got the gas tank sealed up & the hole for the new petcock tapped. So, we stripped the tank & primed it. Still needs some finish work before it is ready for paint.
Keep up with this & other projects right here.
Had to shorten the kickstand for a second time to give it the proper lean angle. First time that it has sat on its own for a long time.
Keep checking back here for updates on this & other projects.
Got another side project this week. Added a purple 108 LED accent kit to this 02' Dyna. Purple does not photograph to well. It looks much better in person but you get the idea.
Keep checking back here for updates on the different projects that we have come through the shop.
Finished up the shift & rear brake linkage. Also, finished fabbing up the side mount plate. It is now complete with a white LED plate light.
Keep checking back here for more updates.
Got the front & rear calipers on the XS with new pads & fluid. All bled & working great.

If you have noticed that the bike progress has been coming a little slower than normal, it has. Here is the reason, our new shop car. A 62' Nova that we have been spending a lot of time with getting it ready for the road.
This car is a driver. It has a 283 with 4 wheel power disc brakes, new wiring harness, new gauges, front & rear sway bars, new suspension bushings all the way around & many other parts. Still need to be aligned but is good enough to take it out on the road. It will be a nice little around town shop car.
Every year we ride up to attend AZ Bike Week in Scottsdale, AZ. This year we decided to invite a few friends. We rode up to spend the day trying the different makes & models that are available for demo rides. It is a completely free part of the event with Harley Davidson, Victory, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki & Can Am"s available to ride.
This is the crew we started with in Tucson. Stands up at 7am!
We picked up one more rider in Casa Grande & added another 2 just outside of Phoenix in Chandler. We then finished the last bit of the ride 9 deep.
We arrived at the event a little earlier than most. By the afternoon the sea of bikes seems to go on for ever. Every year thousands of bikers attend the event.
After we had our fill of demo rides. We headed back to Tucson. We stopped off for dinner at Lupe's Mexican Restaurant in Catalina. It was nice to not be on the road & get some food. After we ate we finished our rides home. Our day ended after 830pm. So, it was a long fun day that we will definitely be doing again next year.
Still trying to get everything on & working. Finishing up the polishing for the engine cases & covers.
Right & left engine case covers all polished up & on.
Still working on this one so keep checking back here for updates.
Now that it runs we are working on making it pretty. We polished the tappet covers, the crank vent, the cam chain adjuster cover & the dipstick.
Still have a few more pieces to polish but they are coming out real nice.
